WAS SOLUTION FOR TANKER
Accommodation areas and cabins for tankers or bulk cargo ships are quite similar to other cargo ships. A deck house is a rather narrow structure with several decks. The present building method uses a lot of steel bulkheads, which cuts the cabin area into small spaces. Pillars and large open areas allowing for transportation of full-size cabins are usually not a part of deck house construction.
The basic difference in accommodation design for tankers is the trim change between an empty vessel and a ship with a full cargo load. The toilet units must be designed to function well in both circumstances. The normal method is to use a higher floor element and a bigger drainage angle, but some owners want to solve this problem with the use of multiple scuppers.
We can provide modular toilet units and wall and ceiling panels for bulk cargo ships. The cabins can also be made from full-size walls, but they need to be assembled on board as cabins. Modular cabins are preferred because they allow for more sound reduction. If modular cabins are chosen, the construction of the deck house should be simplified.
